The idea behind this project was a combination of my homesickness, my materialism and desire to redecorate. My homesickness at this point of my exchange experience did not stem from the desire to return back to Australia, but the want to return back to my house. During the Summer holidays, I remained abroad, visiting more countries and having friends and family visit. During this time, I ended up missing my room and all my favourite objects inside it. I was overwhelmed by this feeling that I decided to sketch how I'd redecorate the many, many, MANY items I had bought and how they'd possibly fit amongst my home.
Drawing Workshop II Final Project
For my final project of Drawing Workshop II at Ewha Woman's University, I produced and conducted a project that reflected my experience of studying abroad. The painting and drawings detail how I am going to redecorate my room back in Australia, after the accumulation of all the goods I have purchased whilst travelling abroad.
