Currently studying a Bachelors of Design (International) - Visual Communications at Queensland University of Technology, (exp. December 2024 graduation). I am undertaking exceptional learning about the processes and expansive variety of the field. During my studies, I have developed a vast skill set, equipping me excellently for multiple design fields (skills listed below). I undertook a minor in Interaction Design bolster my skillset and career prowess.
I maintain a GPA of 6.67 within my first two years of study. I won a certificate of design excellence within my first semester of my first year working on the Woolworths Centre for Childhood Nutritional Research project. I have received the QUT Executive Deans’ Commendation for Academic Excellence for 2021 and 2022 for achieving outstanding academic pursuit.
In my third year, 2023, I was given the opportunity to study abroad at EWHA Woman's University in Seoul, South Korea. There, I acquired international skills in both design, art and communications. I developed a beginner-intermediate level of the Korean language as well as developing skills in Korean traditional painting. I undertook Korean languages units as well as Form and Volume, Drawing Workshop (II) and Modern and Post Modern Literature. Whilst in Seoul, I was fortunate to visit conventions and events held for design such as Seoul Fashion Week, Seoul Illustration and Design fair, special exhibitions and many more. During my stay, I was fortunate enough to also have travelled to all of East Asia, (Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mainland China and Macau) experiencing the multitude of cultures. Overseas, I was given the opportunity to explore and develop as both an artist, designer and a person.
In 2024, I worked at two internships. At the beginning of the year, I interned at Hawkeye Publishing; an Australian book publishing company. To view my full experience, click here.
Following this insightful experience, I recieved a second internship at Queensland Trust for Nature: a non-for-profit biodiversity organisation that preserves Queensland's flora and fauna. To view my full experience, click here.
My design specialties include minimalist, clean designs.
My love of design blossomed in high school, where I began developing study notes for difficult subjects to help my fellow students.
I have an optimistic personality, passionate and extroverted (ENFP). I am highly motivated, a goal getter who appreciates how the big picture is made up with details. I’m very sociable, valuing other’s opinions and dedicated to building team work. I find myself adapting easily to leadership positions because of these qualities. Most of all I love problem solving, especially when it involves design.
